Adam Freedman, 7-8pm
November 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Adam Freedman crafts lonely, story-driven songs built on a gritty foundation of raw acoustic and indie-rock instrumentation. His debut album, Best Laid Plans (Gone Wrong), turned heads across the blogosphere, earning praise as “beautiful and driving indie pop” that marries “Elliott Smith’s raw simplicity with Andrew Bird’s lyrical proficiency.” Now, after a more than decade-long hiatus, Freedman is returning to the stage in support of his new 5-song release, Sisyphus, coming out at the end of August. Often struggling to succinctly describe his own music, he credits a random audience member for doing the work for him, calling it “punk Americana”. Come out to hear it for yourself.
